The goal of the Music Ministry of the First Pentecostal Church of Orlando is to fulfill the Bible command found in Psalm 100:1-2 – “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.” Our ministry as a praise team is to magnify the Lord through praise. In the book of II Chronicles, chapter 20, Jehoshaphat and the children of Israel faced the enemy in battle. Before they went out, Jehoshaphat appointed singers to go before them. As the singers began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the enemy and Israel won the victory.

Similarly, our purpose as a praise team is the same as in the days of Jehoshaphat. We as singers, go before the congregation in worship and in praise to lead the church in victory over the enemy. Since this ministry is of such importance, we must always endeavor to do our best. God’s Word instructs us not to give place to the devil. In keeping with this command, we will strive for excellence, not allowing any opportunity for criticism. For this purpose, it is our desire that members of the First Pentecostal Church of Orlando Music Ministry portray all that is Christian and holy.
